DecisionWise Announces Release of New Book, MAGIC: Five Keys to Unlock the Power of Employee Engagement

PROVO, UTAH—October 21, 2014


Today leaders and employees of management consulting firm DecisionWise are celebrating the official release of the book MAGIC: Five Keys to Unlock the Power of Employee Engagement, coauthored by DecisionWise CEO, Tracy Maylett, and Global Employee Engagement Architect, Paul Warner.


“We’ve been anxiously waiting for this day for years,” said Warner. “Over the past year, we scoured all of our research, survey data and client experiences as we worked to construct a book that benefits not only organizational leaders but also individuals. I’m extremely pleased that we’re able to make our research and conclusions available to the public.”


MAGIC is a five-part approach to making organizations stronger, more profitable and better places to work. The book introduces the five MAGIC keys of employee engagement—Meaning, Autonomy, Growth, Impact and Connection—and shows how leaders can help employees achieve higher levels of engagement, as well as how employees can be more successful by taking ownership for their own MAGIC.


“For the longest time, employee engagement has been considered a management responsibility,” said Maylett. “MAGIC helps us all realize the impracticality of that way of thinking. Both leaders and employees are responsible for employee engagement. Ultimately, however, individuals choose whether or not they engage.
